Environmental
Being one of the highest greenhouse gas emitters, the transportation industry produces 25% of all greenhouse gasses. From the inception of our company we have always understood our impact on the environment and looked for ways to reduce our environmental impact.
- 1. Fuel efficiency: We will strive to improve our fleet's fuel efficiency by regularly maintaining our vehicles, training our drivers on efficient driving techniques, and investing in fuel-efficient technologies. We have also invested time in optimizing our routes and schedules to reduce idling time and fuel consumption.
- 2. Emissions reduction: We will work to reduce our carbon emissions by setting and tracking science based emission reduction targets, investing in low-emission vehicles, and utilizing alternative fuels.
- 3. Waste reduction: We will reduce our waste generation by implementing a recycling program for our offices and warehouses, and by working with our suppliers to reduce the amount of packaging materials used in our shipments.
- 4. Materials recycling management: We will work to reuse, reduce and recycle all materials coming into our facilities and all parts, equipment and supplies. We will handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, and work to minimize the use of such materials in our operations.
At PA Transport we have set a Science based Emissions Reduction Target (SBT): to reduce in absolute terms our operational (Scope 1) emissions by 30% by 2025 against our 2020 baseline.
